Useful evidence. Visible boundaries.
PED Evidence is an educational research library for clinicians and research-minded readers. It does not prescribe treatments, certify compounds as safe or replace primary-source review.
What the labels mean
- Source-linked summaries explain the supplied abstract or full paper. The scope is displayed on every card.
- Source confirmation checks identity. It is not a methodological quality assessment.
- Human, animal and cell labels describe the research model. Design and topic filters may be inferred from source text; they are discovery aids.
- Landmark selections and human-first ordering are editorial navigation decisions, not benefit rankings.
- Studied doses describe exposures in a specific study—not personal protocols. Formulation, route, population and duration matter.
Formal appraisal remains separate
Routine summaries are not formal appraisals. A defensible appraisal needs review of randomization, allocation concealment, blinding, missing data, selective reporting, prespecified endpoints, funding, conflicts and applicability. Full text and, where necessary, trial registrations and supplements are required. We do not assign these judgments from an abstract alone.
Clinical review status
AI-assisted summaries must not be mistaken for independently clinician-reviewed guidance. This page does not claim a physician editorial board, medical endorsement or sign-off that has not occurred. A named reviewer and review date should accompany any future independent review.
Comparison and counts
Separate trials cannot establish a head-to-head winner. Publications may share participants; this library does not sum participants across reports or call publication counts unique trial counts.
Corrections and transparency
Each study page links to its source and exposes its summary date and source scope. Field-level historical change logs are not yet available. Read the editorial policy and methodology for current procedures.
Your reading notes
Library bookmarks, list names and notes are stored on your device. They are not patient records, are not synced to an account and may be lost if browser storage is cleared. Citation exports include your notes; review them before sharing. Do not enter identifiable patient information.
